Indian Diwali (Diwali), in India, Nepal is a very important national holiday, celebrating "to drive away the darkness with light and to defeat evil with goodness". In 2018 Diwali celebration begins on November 5 and ends on November 9, for a period of five days, and November 7 is the right day.
The significance of this festival for Hindus is equivalent to the meaning of Christmas to Christians and the significance of the Lunar New Year to the Chinese. Due to its important status and grand celebration, many "outsiders" who have a little understanding of India even mistakenly believe it as the Indian New Year.
Many countries around the world such as India, Fiji, Singapore, Malaysia, Nepal, and places with a large number of Indians such as Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, South Africa and New Zealand will celebrate Diwali.

The first day (November 5, 2018)
Commemorating the god of wealth, Lakshmi, in some parts of India is to commemorate the death of Yamaraj. In order to welcome the gods, people will carry out a general cleaning and add new tableware and decorations to the streets. According to legend, Lakshmi, the god of wealth, loves to be clean. If the house is too dirty, she will not even look at it, and the fortune will fly.

The next day (November 6, 2018)
The god Krishna defeated the demon Narakasura and liberated the world from the fear and anxiety, so this day began to burn a large number of fireworks and firecrackers to drive away evil.

The third day (November 7, 2018)
The day of Diwali is also the grandest day of the celebration. People welcome the god Lakshmi, ladies will wear traditional Indian dress sari, men wear kurthas. The people put on new clothes and merchants exchanged new books, symbolizing the beginning of a new life. Another important ritual is to pray for the help of the god of wealth, Lakshmi. Although Indian companies are on holiday during Diwali, there will be an hour of special trading in the stock market as a gift to Lakshmi.

On the last day of the festival, on the days of sisters, the brothers will bring gifts to the sisters' homes to visit.
